Bluewave Alliance is a non-profit initiative dedicated to restoring the health and beauty of the Mediterranean Sea
Our mission is to promote conservation and restoration projects for the Mediterranean, with solutions that can also be applied to seas and oceans worldwide. Through these efforts, we aim to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting our seas and oceans.
Seas and oceans cover 71% of the Earth’s surface and are key allies in the fight against climate change. A healthy sea means a healthy planet, and by caring for our oceans, we care for humanity too.

ISDIN is the driving force behind Bluewave Alliance
The Mediterranean is where ISDIN was born, a sea that has inspired the company with its beauty, biodiversity and unique ecosystem. This is why ISDIN has taken steps to rejuvenate it, ensuring future generations can continue to enjoy its warm and welcoming waters.
ISDIN has spearheaded the creation of Bluewave Alliance, supporting its work by funding and promoting its projects. In addition, ISDIN seeks to build synergies with other companies, pooling resources to maximise the impact of Bluewave Alliance initiatives across our seas and oceans.
By joining forces with environmentally conscious companies, we aim to stop being part of the problem and start becoming part of the solution. The Mediterranean Sea faces significant challenges, and it needs our help. Together, through unity and collaboration, we can make a positive impact.
Mission
At Bluewave Alliance, our mission is to restore the health and beauty of our seas and oceans, driven by love and respect for nature. We recognise that they are our most important allies in the fight against climate change. We will achieve this by raising awareness and promoting projects that protect and regenerate the Mediterranean Sea, developing solutions that can be applied to the rest of the world's oceans.
Vision
To restore the Mediterranean Sea to the rich life, biodiversity and good health it enjoyed 100 years ago, before human activity and climate change took their toll on its waters and coasts.
Our Manifesto
We support Manu San Félix in gathering signatures for the Mediterranean Manifesto, which advocates for the effective protection of 30% of the Mediterranean, with the goal of restoring local fishing and preventing the collapse of its ecosystems. The most vital part of the Mediterranean is hidden beneath the surface – it’s where life begins and it deserves our respect.

Our Impact
Participants in awareness and education activities
We have organised awareness and education programmes, with over 3,500 participants to date.
Community organisations and companies
We have partnered with more than 80 companies and organisations, working together with Bluewave Alliance to promote collaborative projects.
Kilograms of plastic collected
With the help of 5,000 fishers, we have removed large amounts of plastic from various parts of the Mediterranean.
Bluewave Alliance works with organisations, companies and foundations to raise awareness, educate the public and develop projects aimed at reversing climate change, improving marine life and building alliances, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
In September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This agreement introduced 17 new goals, aimed at eliminating poverty, combating inequality and injustice, and addressing climate change, among other issues.
Bluewave Alliance is committed to “Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts”, “Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development” and “Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.”
