Bluewave Alliance and Studio 46 Present the Art Med Exhibition

Bluewave Alliance and Studio 46 present the Art Med exhibition to raise awareness about the conservation of the Mediterranean. The show, part of the 37th America’s Cup, features international artists and donates 10% of its sales to marine preservation projects.

In an effort to raise awareness about the need toprotect the Mediterranean Sea, Bluewave Alliance and the private studio andgallery Studio 46 have joined forces to present the exhibition Art Med: Art forMarine Conservation. This innovative exhibition is part of the 37th America’sCup agenda, aligning with its efforts to promote sustainable practices and thepreservation of the seas. It merges the power of art with an urgentenvironmental conservation message. Through the works of international artists,Art Med seeks to inspire the public to take an active role in protecting one ofthe world's most valuable marine ecosystems.

The exhibition features renowned artists such asLorenzo Quinn, Juliana Plexxo, Om Barbarà, Cecilia Morales, JJ Walker, LourdesFiguera Vidal, Mario Pasqualotto, Joan Barbarà, Ümit Sural, Tano Pisano, andJoaquim Falco. Each artist offers a unique interpretation of the beauty andfragility of the Mediterranean, emphasizing the urgency to preserve its reefsand marine life. The goal is to mobilize a diverse audience by promotinggreater awareness and appreciation of the ecological value of the Mediterranean.

The collaboration between Bluewave Alliance andStudio 46 aims to make Art Med not only an artistic celebration but also aconcrete effort toward sustainability. With the SeaSpore project, whichcombines science, art, and technology to generate marine life, BluewaveAlliance has already proven that art is a powerful vehicle for raising publicawareness about the need to protect the Mediterranean. Now, they have taken astep further with this exhibition, where renowned artists have reinterpretedthe fragility of this sea to continue fostering awareness.

Ten percent of the proceeds from the artworks soldduring the exhibition will be donated to Bluewave Alliance. This directcontribution will fund innovative marine conservation projects, making atangible impact in the fight against climate change and the degradation of theMediterranean.

Art Med will be open until November and will takeplace in three locations in Barcelona:

• Studio46: the art studio located in the Gracia neighborhood, hosting visits byappointment only.

• Portof Barcelona: the hospitality area at the Port of Barcelona (Tinglados: MollOriental, 3) will welcome visitors with prior entry.

• BF4Art Gallery: this space located in the Born neighborhood (Calle de la Barra deFerro, 4) will open its doors on September 12.
