At Bluewave Alliance, we are dedicated to regenerating marine life by converting grey spaces into blue oases. In partnership with Ocean Ecostructures, we are working on a marine regeneration project focused on the preservation and recovery of benthic communities in the Port of Barcelona. This initiative employs innovative technology and restoration techniques for iconic species, such as gorgonians.
Our initiative is built on a sustainable and scalable model for restoring marine biodiversity within infrastructures like ports and offshore platforms, among others, turning them into active agents in the fight against climate change and enhancing the health of our seas.
We combine advanced scientific techniques for repopulating high-value environmental species – such as seagrasses, gorgonians, macroalgae and sponges – with state-of-the-art regenerative technology, including natural-based bioregeneration structures known as Life Boosting Units. This approach enables us to transform ports, platforms, and other facilities into spaces for the recovery of marine life, representing a paradigm shift based on the collaboration of science, technology and society.
